automatically formatting phone numbers in contacts

In Outlook 'Contacts' I used to be able to just type the
10 didgets of a phone number in a new phone field without
putting parentheses around the area code or a dash and it
would automatically add parenthesis and a dash when I
clicked into another field. It no longer does that. Can
you tell me why or what I can do to make that work again?

If your dialing location is set correctly, it should still do so.

I have the same problem - no autoformating with Outlook
2002 running XP. I am also synched with Windows CE for my
Pocket PC-based PDA and the same problem occurs there
now. It never did when I used Outlook 2000 running
Win98SE.
