Automatically changing pasted text boxes into new font

My company has changed the default font for their templates. We often copy
information from old PowerPoint Presentations into new Presentations and the
font now differs between the new template and the old presentations. When we
copy information from old presentations into the new template most of the
text automatically changes into our new font. The problem is that text boxes
do not automatically change into the new font. When we create a new text box
in the new template the default IS set so that the text has the new font.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the text boxes from other
presentations automatically change when we paste them into the new template?

I don't think you can do this, but you can manually choose Format, Replace
Fonts. Pick the font you want to eliminate in the upper of the two list boxes,
pick the font you want to replace it with in the lower one and click OK.

That'll do the replacement for the entire presentation.

The default font settings for non-placeholder objects is not retroactive, so
they're behaving as expected when you change the template on the existing
presentations.

You can use Format|Replace Fonts to replace the old font with the new one. I
don't know of a way to make that happen automatically, though. I suppose you
could create an add-in of some sort. How's your VBA?
