automatic updates

After doing a fresh install of win xp pro sp2, I finished downloading the
updates and was working on the computer and had a power interuption before
the updates were installed. Were they installed or not? The automatic
update has not downloaded anything lately. Any help would be appreciated.

Why not try going to the Windows Update website and seeing if there is any
updates you need....

John is right, what ever did not install will be available agin via the windows update site. You should always go there several times after you update anyway because alot of the updates only come available once a prior update was installed.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
