Automatic .tmp file cleanup

Once every 2 or 3 months our Temp file (C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp) gets completely cleaned out
automatically. This seems to have started about 6 months ago or so, and we
haven't installed any third party software to do this. The problem is that
when this occurs it breaks one of our applications, which requires us to
reinstall that application every time.

Does anyone know what this automatic cleanup is, and is there any way of
dismantling it?

Hello Debbie:

Windows does not automatically clean the Temp folders.

Did you schedule the Disk Cleanup Wizard (Start > All Programs >
Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks)? Otherwise, a third party
application is doing this.

Hi Debbie.

You should contact the authors of that application program. Any
properly written program should not be dependent on files remaining in
a file folder that is designated as temporary.

Good luck
