automatic system shutdown/crash

Computer one month old. Frequent crashes with popup
window warning of automatic shutdown to follow in 60
seconds. Says "shutdown initiated by NT Authority\System."
"Message: RPC terminated unexpectedly"
Can anyone tell me what this means, and a way to cure the
problem?

You have the Blaster Virus.

Click start, run and type shutdown -a
click ok.. this will prevent the system from restarting.

Then, proceed with removing the virus.
