Automatic spelling correction - turn it off!

I know this is a basic question, but I do appreciate your patient answer

How do I make it so ALL Windows applications won't respell acronyms into words

There is a company named IHS in my contact database and I don't want the auto-spelling to occur. Anytime I spell the acronym IHS in Word, Outlook or Access, the system respells it as "HIS". What a pain! How and where is this option/property set

Open Word and Tools>Autocorrect Options. Make changes there. Delete the IHS
to HIS correction.

The *.ACL is common to all Office apps so will stop the correction in all.
