I have set Defender to run at 7PM daily. It has never done so, or if it has
it doesn't show on the scan log.

Any ideas on my problem?

Hello LEM,

You can repair Windows Defender using Add or Remove Programs in Control
Panel. Click Windows Defender and click Change. Click Next, and follow the
prompts.
Let us know how it works ºut.

Is the Task Scheduler disabled under services? Microsoft Antispyware
schedules as a hidden task using the Windows Scheduled tasks facility--so
Task Scheduler needs to be available.

I've tried this fix to get Windows Defender to be able to install the new
definitions update. Even Defender does not recognize that there is another
definition update available. It says it is up to date. Although Windows One
Care doesn't notice the update, which has posted as successful in Windows
update 6 separate times.

Is the newest update to Windows One Care defective or what?
