Hi,
I am thouroughly hacked off in the fact that every time I
click on a particular user account I am asked to sign up
to "Supanet" which is a Time internet Service Providor. I
don't want to! Each time I click cancel, the next time I
log on it is there again!!! Please Please Please can
someone help me out by getting rid of it forever and it
not popping up again.

Yours gratefully,
Mike

If it is only for a particular user, it is probaly coming from one of only
two places: either the startup folder or the registry. The user startup
folder is usually located C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup. Use explorer and see if something in there looks
suspecious, then simply delete it to the recycle bin. The other is in the
registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
If you are not familiar with working with the registry, I recommend that you
use the "System Configuration Utility". On the Start menu select Run, then
type "MSconfig" (without the qoutation marks), then hit OK. Go to the
Startup tab then scroll down to to the items that have a location beginning
with HKCU\ (it stands for HKey Current User). You can probably identify the
culprit by name or command line location and simply disable it. If you are
comfortable with playing in the registry, delete the entry AFTER you have
confirmed it to be the source.
