Automatic Response - Rules & Alerts

I set up an automatic out of office response on my POP3 account using the
instructions found on the Microsoft Website (just to test it and see if I
could use this functionality as I am not on an Exchange server). I applied
it accidently to my outbox and it sent everybody in my outbox that message.
I deleted the rule so that nobody else would get it. However, everyone who
send me an email still gets that same auto-response, even though I have
deleted it, it send it to a person only once a day (if that person sends
multiple emails) as is standard, but I just cant seem to stop it sending. I
open up my rules and alerts and there are NO rules/alerts in there, but it
still keeps sending the auto-response. To further compound matters, the
message which is sent is a single line reading 'fweerwerwewre', which gets
the strangest of responses in my business environment! Any help would be
much appreciated. Thank you

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanrules switch. That should delete all your rules, inculding any phantoms like this.
