Automatic numbered gift certificates

I am trying to print gift certificates in Word. I want the exact same
gift certificate, but the number to change (increase by 1) on each
certificate. I am trying to put 2 on a page. I did this in publisher
2003, but I am now trying it in word 2007.

One idea....make a access table or excell spreadsheet with sequential
numbers and then use mail merge in Word and make the number a field with that
as a data source
