When I enter a name into email as the to address Outlook attempts to locate
the name for me and then complete. However, how do I change the emails that
Outlook attempts to fill for me?

I have an associate who's address has changed and his old address keeps
appearing?

Thanks,

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by
highlighting the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use
your arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key
before you tab out of the field. If your autocomplete list contains only
a single entry, use the directions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;289975

To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q287623

I tried using the information in the link you provided. The file *.nk2 or
*.NK2 cannot be found. So I pose the question - How do I clear out the
autocomplete cache? XP Home, Outlook XP

It is axiomatic that you must find the file first.
It's there or else you wouldn't have any names suggested. Did you follow the
steps precisely, especially the instructions to include hidden files in your
search?

Hi Russ,
the link you provided is no longer available: KB Article is not Available
Do you know where it has moved to?

If that article is unavailable, the gist of it is to send a message using a
name or address that will add another entry to that dropdown list. Then you
will have the ability to use the arrow key to select the name you want to
remove. This step is no longer necessary in Outlook 2003 and higher.
