How do I go about getting Windows XP to automatically login without the need
to enter in a username and password?

You can do it using TweakUI in the XP Power Toys.

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and click Ok.
