automatic internet connection>>> HOW

I have a DSL modem and I used to be able to but a shortcut to my connection
in my startup folder
and the computer would go online when it started....
Now, after a format it doesnt work... the same happens with another
computer.
This SHOULD work but it doesnt. Anyone know why, or a program that will help
me
start up my internet connection automatically?
Is there a bat file I can make perhaps?

On the computer that works, do you have a connection manager type
program from your ISP installed?

connection.

No thank you... if you go behind a roouter you lose endless hours trying to

This sounds like it might be a problem you should discuss with your
ISP. There's a possibility they may have made some changes somewhere
that might be affecting this and I'd talk to their tech support first.
