Does anyone know how to stop Word from automatically trying to update the Global template whenever changes are made to a document (even though paragraph style changes are already set to NOT "add to template" and to NOT "Automatically Update" within the Modify Paragraph Styles area?

Cheers

There are several things that can gtrigger Word into thinking that there are
changes made to the normal.dot template, but not all of them come from Word
itself. Add-ins are notorious for this and in particular the Norton AV
office plug-in. What add-ins do you have?

The Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word is another that dirties Normal.dot
every time it loads.
