automatic delete of read items

Hi,
Have had a problem for a few weeks now, where any read
items in my inbox seem to automatically delete. I can not
retrieve these items as they do not get sent to my deleted
folder. Please help!!

Check your view settings to see if you set it to unread messages. Enable
the Advanced toolbar for ease of use.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
