Automatic calculation as sefault

Does anybody know if there is a way to make Automatic Calculation the
default choise in Excel 2000 ?
 
Same as in previous versions, Tools|Options|Calculation and check
Automatic. Note however that this setting gets saved with each
workbook, and is read as a global setting from the first workbook that
you open.

OK - thanks. So there is no way to change the setting to default when you
open Excel from the Programs toolbar - will just make a Book1 on desktop and
open Excel from there.
