automatic backup did not work for unsaved/unnamed document. Help!

My computer crashed and although I have automatic backup set at 1 minute
intervals, I lost a 3 page document which had not been saved or named. When
I rebooted and reopened Word, there was no mention of a recovered document.
Is is gone or can it be recovered. Whyl did the automatic backup not work^

There is no 'automatic backup' facility in Word. There is only 'save
autorecover information' a rather hit and miss function which may of may
nolt be able to recover your document following a crash. If Word does not
present the document after such a crash, it is lost. If you want a true
autosave function (and frankly I think that would be more annoying than
helpful) then see http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm

If your computer crashed, you should also see
