hello please could anyone tell me if there is a way to tell a pc to go into
standby after downloading on the internet after about 10 hours any help
appreciated thankyou

Search for "Download managers"
Most will have this feature and will allow you to resume download if
interrupted.

No, you need a third party software for this.
