Autofilter and Not?!

Is there a way to have autofilter filter everything according to my
conditions except for the last 5 rows of a worksheet?
 
Can you live with a blank row between your data and the last 5 records - if
so just add a blank row - You may have to reset the filter range, but
hopefully you shouldn't.

Stick a blank row above the last 5 rows then select just top row when
Data>Filter>Autofilter.

i.e. Do not select entire column.

Autofilter will ignore those rows below the blank row.
