Autofill misbehaving

Hi There,

I am using autofill to copy a formula into a range of
cells.

When I copy the formula, the results of cell C3 are
displayed in cells C4,C5 etc. So I have the same number
repeated even though the contents of the cells are
different. When I click into cell C4 or C5 the correct
formula is there but the results to the formula are wrong.

Formula
C3 contains the formula A3/B3. A3=170 B3=21 C3=8.09

Using autofill I get the following results
C4 contains the formula A4/B4. A4=95 B4=17 C4 = 8.09
which is the same result as C3!

The worksheet is not protected and the autfill option is
set to copy. No changes have been made to Excel. I have
tried opening another workbook and the same happens again.

Any ideas are much appreciated

Check in Tools-Options-Calculation that you haven't got Manual checked.
If you have your cells will refresh when you press F9 to recalculate.
If you don't want this to happen check Automatic instead

Thank you very much, it now works like a charm.
This has been a thorn in my side for a few days now. I
checked all other settings but not that one.
