AUTOFILL ISSUE

When I come into the office each day and want to send an email to a coworker
in my contacts list, I type the coworker's name into the To line of a new
message. The name and address do NOT autofill. When I click on the "Check
Names" icon, Outlook recognizes the name and the name I typed is replaced
with the underlined version indicating a valid e-address. FOR THE REST OF
THE DAY autofill will complete the name/address to that coworker, but the
next day, I have to start all over again. Help?

That's a symptom of a damaged mail profile.

Thanks, Brian. My profile was rebuilt by an IT person recently because I
had/have another problem (shared calendars of coworkers that mysteriously
disappear about every other week from my shared calendars pane). Another
Outlook MVP suggested that the disappearing shared calendars was likely a
corrupt profile issue as well. Perhaps the profile was not rebuilt correctly
since rebuilding the profile did not stop the calendars from periodically
vanishing? Although our IT department will probably help again, is
rebuilding the profile something I can do myself or is it better left to
professionals? Where could I get advice on how to do it?

I am on a State of Michigan government network, Outlook 2003/XP.

Have a great 4th of July!
