Autofill for To:

G

Guest

We updated from Outlook Express 2000 to Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003.

I saved off the address and emails for the move from Outlook Express to
Outlook 2000. Months later we moved to Outlook 2003 and saved off the
Contacts and Inbox. We now have two problems:
1) When you go to send an email, it is not autofilling the person though
autofill is turned on.
2) The TO: does not show any names thought there are names in the contacts.

What gives?
Thanks

Autocomplete doesn't do lookups to your address books as OE did - it's based
on addresses previously used, and will 'learn' as you go along. It also has
autoresolve - meaning, if you type in part of an address, and press the
Check Names button or Ctrl + K, it will look up the info in your address
books (see below)
2) The TO: does not show any names thought there are names in the
contacts.

Make sure you have the Outlook Address Book loaded in this profile (tools |
email accounts | view/modify address books). then you can right-click on the
contacts folder and tick the box in the "outlook address book' tab.
