Hello

I am using Win XP Pro SP2

I am trying to re-istall a copy of Quicken 98. I have run it on this pc
for years but uninstalled it some time ago. I now wish to install it
again however I keep getting the following error message
"C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt. The System file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications...."

Any suggestions please?

Bill

I believe you might have a compatibility issue since the 98 version might
not run on XP.

REPAIR:
Copy autoexec.nt from directory C:\Windows\Repair and Paste it in
C:\Windows\System32
after that go to that directory (C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt) right
click mouse and Properties CHECK box Read only.
Restart computer.
Thats all!!

Thank you, Michael, Patti & Adi for your suggestions. The easiest
seemed to be to run the fix from Kellys-korner suggested by Patti. I
did that, it fixed the problem & I've now got Quicken up & running.
