I have now tried to install three bits of software / hardware on my laptop (a
scanner, a printer, and some ftp software I downloaded) and on each occasion
I have begun the install process (clicking 'setup', running the install CD,
etc.) I get the following pop-up dialog box:
'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to
terminate the application.'
I'm then given two boxes to click on; 'close' and 'ignore'. Clicking on
either just closes the dialog box.
Can anyone provide help so that I can install my stuff?
Many thanks,
Paul
