i am now getting the error about not being able to run dos or windows
programs when i try to run sysedit or install fontlab or fontographer

when i click close or ignore the box closes and nothing happens

i also cannot install or uninstall tweakui

--history--i had a perfectly good pc before i "upgraded" to norton2005 and
sp2---lots of problems after

removed both, pc is back to normal just i cant run some dos stuff

anybody know a fix?

"You can put back the standard version of autoexec.nt by copying a backup
copy held in windows\repair to windows\system32."

thanks to rock, i thought that was the fix but couldn't remember where to
find the file--the progs work now

thanks but rock already said this

ps.to microsoft---if you send me an email with a link, at least check that
your server hasn't been hacked as this one tries to sell me commodore games
and then crashes explorer---thanks

what do the technicians at microsoft do all day---write viruses?get your act
together
