AutoCorrect Exceptions Word 2007

I type "cc:" Word wants to change it to "Cc:". I have tried to enter this
under AutoCorrect Exceptions "INitial CAps"; however, the "Add" button is
greyed out for some reason.

Any suggestions other than turn off auto cap feature?

Hi Suzanne:

Thanks much, except I type it as "cc:" and the ":" is not being accepted.
Any other suggestions?

You can in fact enter "cc" as an exception under Other Corrections, and it
will work.

Don't include the colon. It works just fine without. The colon (or any other
punctuation) is what would otherwise trigger the AutoCorrect action.

FYI - I was just given this solution from an outside friend; go ahead and
type "cc:" and then type "Ctrl+Z" and it kept it as "cc:".

Not quite sure how/why this worked, but it did.

Undo (Ctrl+Z) reverses the AutoCorrect action. But adding it to the
Exceptions will save you from having to do even that.
