Autocomplete History Freezing

I keep trying to clear my autocomplete history for IE, but every time I do
the system freezes. I've cleaned up my computer, I've defragged, I've
scanned for viruses and adware, and yet I still get this same problem. Why?
Is there something wrong with this function, or is it my computer?

You can try deleting these Registry values. Open Regedit.exe :

AutoComplete, User Names and Passwords on Forms:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW

AutoComplete, Web Addresses:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System
Provider\<user name or windows logon name>
