Windows XP, Outlook 2003, The autocomplete function is not offering all the
choices of frequently used names....it is lising some that he sends emails to
maybe once a year, instead of listing ones he sends emails to weekly/daily.
Using the same name, it used to work, it works on everyone else's PC, except
his. HELP.

I cleared cookies, internet history & tried to reset the "nickname and
automatic completion cache". Autocomplete section is clicked on in Windows.

Example: The last name is Valenta...when he types Va...he gets 2 other
choices of rarely used name, but if he types the first two initials of the
first name, it does appear. In the past, he would type in the last names for
autocomplete to filter down all the options vs. using everyone's first names.

How would one "reset the nickname and autocompletion cache?"
Your information is too vague. If you think that autocompletion is no longer
storing recently used addresses, then the profile may have become corrupt.
Make sure the NK2 file didn't get set to read only. If not, then create a
new profile, realizing you will start with an empty cache.

"reset nickname & autocompletion cache" was a topic I found under MS's
website as a procedure, that sounded like it may be the problem when I was
searching for clearing cache...I found 1 reference that the cache only hold
about 1,000 entries, so it may be full. But those steps did not work. How
do I check the NK2 file for not being read only or create a new profile?

"Resetting" the cache with that method empties it. I trust you did not want
to do that.
Just look at the properties of the NK2 file and see if it is marked as read
only.
Once the cache is full, entries are removed on a FIFO basis. That is not
what you are describing.
