autochk.exe missing

Hi There!

I have a brand new PC with two hard drives. The first one
is NTFS with WinXP Pro. When I tried to install Red Ht
Linux in the other hard drive, I start having trouble:
After the installation, the Red Hat Loader (GRUB) allowed
me to choose between Linux OS or WinXP. Then, if i clicked
Linux I have an error like "Cannot write into disk" or
something, and then nothing to do. If I clicked WinXP, it
started loading, but after the first WinXP screen, the PC
just reboot...

At this point, I tried to reinstall Linux, but this time I
did it without a Loader located in a hard drive, I only
made a boot floppy disc. After the install, when the
floppy inserted, Linux started to work properly. When I
reboot without the Linux Floppy, I got to the GRUB
screen, 'cause GRUB was still in the Master Hasrd Drive
(NTFS). Thus, I started WinXP recovery console from the
Install CD and I tried to format the MBR and rewrite it
with commands such Fixboot and Fixmbr. Now, I restart the
PC and after couple WinXp screens I get this message:

autocheck program not found. autochk.exe missing

Or something like that. I restarted again to try on safe
mode, but I've got the same screen, and after that another
one with: c000021a 0xc000003a
(0x00000000 0x000000) Fatal Error

Then I made my last move: I got to Recovery Console again
and I tried to find the autochk.exe file. And it's in the
C:\Windows\system32\ folder, and I guess that's the right
place! I don't understand what's going on! I tried to
execute this programm and it worked! First time it found 1
error, but the boot was the same. The i did it twice and
nothing happened. What can I do? Please, help me, I'm
loosing my patient! I don't want to loose all my data, I
have a 40GB FULL drive, I don't want to format!
Please, reply me to my email
Best Regards

Hehe

You have just inter the 7th tier of linux's inferno.
Don't mess with linux it's pure evil. Save your soul, and
repent. Get down on your knees and repeate after me...

Oh Great and wise one
Forgive me for creating a false idol
I now renounce Linus
Begone evil penguin begone
Hail Bill! The begator of all code
bessed art you of all men
may thy grace fall again on my face
and security be released in the next platform.

Ok now reboot. Everything should be fine. But if it's
not then you weren't convincing enough in your prayer.
