Auto Updates Problem

Check the advice here about re-installing .NET frameworks .. they must be
done in the correct order:
4. Download the following components:

note: the link to the '.Net Cleanup Utility' does not work on the above
page, so go ahead to add-remove programs in control panel.

So the system is updated now .. are you expecting it to revert again? ..do
you still see the yellow shield in the taskbar tray?
