auto type

Whenever I put the cursor in a drop down box or in a
email to reply my computer enters a long string of text
that makes no sense. I have to hit the backspace key to
remove this and it takes sometimes up to 30 seconds. Any
suggestions?

If you have MS Office XP installed (or any of its products) and a microphone
attached, mute it or disconnect it. The speech-to-text feature is very
sensitive and will try to type up any background noises it hears.
