that cant be setup as a shortcust to auto-load just an email for quickly
sending something w/o having to load outlook entirely.

is there an equivalent simple way to 'load' the task scheduler, so as to
click just that shortcut and be put directly into a new task to enter and
save?

thanks.

Create a shortcut to outlook.exe and add the following switch;
/c ipm.task
