auto suggest not working

a week ago, for no apparent reason, auto suggest has stopped working.
rather, it only works if i have already sent an email to the address in the
current outlook session, but once i close outlook and re-open it, it doesnt
auto suggest anymore. i have checked the option and yes, it is ticked. i
have also tried the alt-k trick but that also only works for that session and
have to repeat alt-k at every new session.

any ideas?

Posted here frequently. Usually means the connection between your profile
and the autocompletion cache is damaged. Create a new profile.
