Is is possible to have my computer automatically start Outlook upon my
turning it on? If so, how?

Right click on the outlook icon on the desktop and select create shortcut.
Cut the shortcut from the desktop. Click on start, programs, startup and
righclick on startup and select open. Paste the shortcut into the startup
directory and close the directory.

Putting Outlook in the Startup folder can cause problems especially during
troubleshooting and for safety concerns. It's better to let everything load
first--antivirus, firewalls etc, then use the Quick Launch bar to start
Outlook.

I know of a number of companies that use registry settings to start it
automatically so I'd have to say its a preference.

I've never heard this. Can you cite proof?
