auto shutdown

after I installed xp my computer won't auto shutdown any
more it now says "it is safe to turn off your computer"
any suggestions on how to get the autoshutdown back.

In the power management area where you access your
screensaver there is a box that says when i press the
power button what should happen , Check shutdown and then
the comp should auto shutdown, the wording might bea bit
different but you get the idea.
