Auto send and receive

I recently imported my pst database from windows xp to a windows vista
computer after installing office pro 2003. When I open Outlook it no longer
automatically sends and receives email. I must check the "Send / Receive"
button on the toolbar.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Locate your srs-file for your mail profile and rename it to .old.

For future reference;
There is no reason to import your pst-file when transferring to another
machine. Simply copy your pst-file and reconnect it via File-> Open->
Outlook Data File

I'm having the same issue with Outlook 2007. I have to manually run
send/receive. It won't run automatically as it's set-up to do every 10
minutes. What is an srs-file? Could that be my problem as well? Running on
an XP with Microsoft Professional, 2007.

The SRS file is the send/receive settings file. It could be the problem. Why
not delete the file and see?
