How can I slow down my auto scroll feature? When I click the mouse wheel and
activitate the scroll command, and move the mouse even slightly, the text
scolls too fast to read.

Click on Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Wheel Tab > In here you have
several settings that adjust the speed the wheel moves. Customise to your
liking and click on Apply then OK.

Start>Control Panel>doubleclick Mouse>Wheel tab
Reset to the number of lines you prefer, default is 3
Click Apply and OK

Thanks for your response to my question on “auto scrolling.†I guess I
wasn’t clear.

I know how to set it for different speeds for scrolling when you turn the
wheel. What I want to do is to set the auto scroll where you can sit back
and read the text as it scrolls automatically. You know…after you click on
the wheel and get the up-and-down arrows with the dot in the middle…and then
you move the mouse down or up to start the automatic scroll. Mine scrolls
automatically, but just too fast to read the text.

Any ideas?

It's been my experience that you just have to learn how much to move the
cursor once you've clicked the middle wheel and are ready to scroll. If
I move the cursor barely past the circle, I can then move the cursor in
tiny increments until the window is automatically scrolling at the
preferred rate of speed. The only problem I have then is that sometimes
the window gets a bit jittery when I've gotten it to move at the right
speed, but that's easily corrected.

Did you look in control panel ---mouse settings? Mine has a speed setting, but
I don't know what kind of mouse or driver you have.
