auto restart after power outage

Greetings --

Check in the power management settings of the PC's BIOS. Many
modern BIOS's offer multiple options for what a PC should do after a
power outage.

Yo Sam

The info that Bruce gave to you is good for most new motherboards.. some of
the older ones have jumpers on the board.. but note that this setting is not
set as a default.. I live in Canada, and have lived in Spain and other
countries.. sometimes, power outages can be fast and furious, resulting in
the PC not knowing whether it is coming or going.. I have a backup power
supply.. if you live in a country where power at some times in the year is
not always too stable, you may want to think again re the setting or do what
I did and get a UPS (uninterruptable power supply)..
