auto resizing of new windows

Just a dumb general question here. When I open a new explorer window, it
isn't full size. I need to click on the maximize button to see the whole
window. Not a big deal, but kind of a pain. Is there any way to change the
settings so the new window opens to maximum size? Thanks for any help you can
give me.

Maximize the window, Shift key on your keyboard then close it, next time you
open the window it should remember its resizing.

If that does not work, open Windows Explorer and click Tools > Folder
Options > View and check the box to remember each folder's view settings.

Nkls

Right Click the shortcut you use to open Windows Explorer and select
Properties/Shortcut Tab.

In the Run Line, click the drop down menu and select the Mximized option.

I don't see that on the links to Documents, Computer and others located on
the Start menu, but they are available as you say if a shortcut to those
explorers are on the desktop.

Hi Andre

It appears on the Right Click/Properties of the Start/All
Programs/Accessories/Windows Explorer item.

I usually pin this shortcut to the Start Menu. Once Maximize is set in this
shortcut, it appears to effect any instance of Windows Explorer, regardless
of which folder link you click to open it.

Thank you Ronnie and Andre. I right clicked and maximized, and it seems to
have taken care of the problem. Some aggravating problems can be easily
fixed, if you just ask the right people. Thanks again. Al
