auto reply

I'd like to know how to set up an auto-reply for all incoming emails. Not
sure whether to use out of office or a rule. I know how to use out of office
but I don't want the sender to see an "out of office" tag on the email. I
don't see in rules how to set this up....

Just create a rule that replies to all messages. By the way -- I *STRONGLY*
discourage you from doing this.

2 reasons:

1. It confirms to spammers that your address is good. You'll get sold to
every "Gold List" there is.

2. You have a strong risk of creating a mail loop. What's that? That's
when somebody sends you a message and your autoresponder responds. And they
have an autoresponder too and it responds back. And your responder responds
to their responder. And then their responder responds...and so on and so
forth. It becomes a game of e-mail tennis until either your mailbox or
theirs fills up and crashes.

In summary, if you really must do it, use a rule. But I really discourage
you from doing it.
