Auto reply and mail loops

Outlook 2007, Exchange 2007

We want to set up an auto reply (Thank you for your email etc etc) for
emails sent to a particular address. I believe I can set up a rule to reply
automatically, but have read there is the danger of mail loops. Is there any
way to prevent mail loops or work around this?

Thanks,

Adrian

Try using the rule "reply using a specific template", which is designed to
send the reply only once to each sender, during a session. Of course Outlook
must be running for the rule to auto reply, and you can add any other actions
to the rule.

James,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately we need it to work when Outlook is
not running.
