Auto-Refresh of PowerPoint Links to Excel

M

mpallo

I have a PowerPoint presentation that is linked to an Excel spreadsheet in
which the data is always changing. Obviously I can open and close the PP
presentation and it will ask me if I want to update the Powerpoint. I want
this to be done automatically with no user intervention as the PP
presentation will be on a large screen monitor for others to see.

Is this possible?

You can set the links to manual update to prevent the message.
You'd have to take care of forcing the update whenever it's appropriate then.

I have the same problem, but I can not manually update the links because I
have no capa[bility to mouse click. Presentation is set on a big monitor and
it needs to update when the host file updates without asking me to enable
macros, update links or update the links in the host file. please see my new
threat automatically update links... dated 04/18/2008 for more info to my
problem which seems to mirror this persons problem.
