auto numbering of columns

Using Excel, how can I auto number my columns on a page
(more than 1 column), example; 1 - 100.
This will be for a referance point only.

In A1, add the formula =COLUMN() and then just copy across.

Or just type "1" in the first Column and then do a Ctrl Drag across and it will do the auto increment feature and count up to wherever you stop.
