Hello,
Is there any way to let a user see a default desktop
without giving a userid and password when the computer is
restarted?

Go to Control Panel, Users and Passwords, and clear the
check box in front of Users must enter user name and ...
and click OK. The system then prmpts you for the user name
and password to log on with automatically. You supply this
info and that is all.
