Auto Logon at Restart

How do I set up XP to auto log in on a restart. Right now
I have to select a user (there is only one) and then
system boots up. Can I have it bypass this and on a
restart (say after a power failure) reboot automatically?

Hi,
1.Click Start, click Run, and type control
userpasswords2.

2.Clear the Users must enter a username and password to
use this computer check box.

3.Click Apply.

4.Enter the user name and password you wish to
automatically log on with, and then click OK.

5.Click OK again and you're all done.

Configure Windows XP to Automatically Logon:

Solution 1:
Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
option, and click Ok.

Solution 2:
If you have one user account and no password configured, Windows XP will log
you in automatically. Otherwise, you'll have to do the following:
Obtain and install the Windows XP version of TweakUI.

Download it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Open TweakUI (it's in Start -> Programs -> Powertoys for Windows XP).
Expand the Logon branch, and click Autologon.
Turn on the Log on automatically at system startup option, type your
username and password, and click Ok.
