Auto Disconect for Dial Up Conn

My wife never hangs up after using the web, at one time when leaving the web
an Auto Disconnect appeared on the screen asking if want to disconnect or
remain connected...this has gone away, how do I get it back?

In IE | Tools | Internet Options | Connections | Settings (for dial-up) |
Advanced
Check both boxes.

Control Panel/Internet Options/Connection then click on your default
connection in the window, click the advanced tab and there should be options
for enabling & disabling auto disconnect plus the waiting period.
