Auto Delete Upon Exit

I am a new user of Windows Mail. I cannot find the option in Windows Mail to
automatically delete emails in the DELETE folder. The option was available
in Outlook Express.

It's available in WinMail too:
Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance

The prompt to automatically delete messages from the Delete Items folder in
Windows Mail is found under "Tools", "Options", "Advanced", "Maintenance".
There is an issue though as I have the "Empty messages from the Deleted Items
folder on exit" checked but it doesn't work. Don't know why.
