auto corrections not working when typing email in outlook 2007

auto corrections that are available in word is not available in outlook.
this worked fine in office 2003, why not in office 2007

Open a new email message then look in Office button > Editor Options (lower
right corner) Proofing > AutoCorrect Options - all the settings are there.
See if you have what you want enabled.
