auto complete export??

just got a new computer. is there any way to export or locate the auto
complete info so i can transfer it to the new computer. obviously some of my
websites i visit with auto completed passwords, i havent had to type the pw
in for a long time and am now in a jam on the new computer

Hi Dave

I am sure there is a highly sophisticate method of doing this, but....you
might try the following:

If you are not sure where your files are located, the following information
may help:

Location of History or Index.dat files:
http://www.milincorporated.com/a2_index.dat.html

Then copy/back them up to a floppy disk. On your new computer, open
IE>File>Import and Export. When you get to the point in the Wizard where it
presents a list of files, select which ones you want to import, then when it
asks from which file, use the browse button to go to the floppy to find the
files and import them. Or, you can just copy them to the file location
where they should be on the new computer.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hi,
Well, you'll have to type them in on the first visit to each site, but I'd
recommend Protected Storage PassView from
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pspv.html PSPV will display cached usernames
and passwords and allow you to print the list.
