auto complete email address

Won Lee

Hello,

I use Outlook 2002 on an XP Pro workstation.
I connect to an Exchange server located in a remote office.

I would like Outlook to auto complete email address I've already entered
even though it may or may not be in my personal contact book,
personal address book, contacts on the exchange server etc.

If I typed in (e-mail address removed) at anytime, I would like to to auto
complete the email address when I type in mike@mi - or what ever amount
of chars it needs before Outlook can determine a unique email address.

Thank you,

Won

Have you checked "Suggest names when completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" in
Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Advanced E-mail Options?

Jocelyn,

Yes. I actually wasn't clear with my question.
Let me re-ask. As it stands, I have to input 3 characters for Outlook
to suggest a name or email address. Is there anyway we can reduce the
number of characters I must input? There are a couple of addresses that
I know are unique from the initial character. For example, I know for a
fact that I've only inputed in one name that starts with a W. I also
have no names in my contact book that begin with a W.

As far as I know, there's no way to change that behavior.

Outlook 2003 has reduced the number of characters you must input from 3 to
1.
